Keck School of Medicine of USC

USC Institute of Urology has established a formal relationship to help develop India’s newest multispecialty hospital, the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center in Mumbai

Established in September 2015, the partnership aims to create India’s premier robotic surgery and urology program at Reliance Foundation hospital. Additionally, USC and Reliance Foundation hospital are collaborating in teaching and research activities, including advanced training for Indian urologists and residents. Leading the effort on USC’s behalf is Inderbir Gill, the founding executive director of the USC Institute of Urology and chairman and professor in the Catherine and Joseph Aresty Department of Urology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Center on Public Diplomacy

As a recognized leader in the public diplomacy research and scholarship community, CPD is the definitive go-to destination for practitioners and international leaders in public diplomacy. CPD has provided custom executive training programs, including the U.S. Embassy in India, New Delhi.

USC Gould School of Law

Partnership with O.P. Jindal Global University, Jindal Global Law School (Sonipat, India)

J.D. Study Abroad/Exchange – USC Gould J.D. students have the opportunity to study abroad at one of six major partnering institutions around the world, most recently including Jindal Global Law School. Students participating in study abroad immerse themselves in a foreign legal system while gaining new perspectives in comparative law.

LLM Pathway Program – In 2023, Gould established an LLM Pathway Program with Jindal Global Law School (JGLS). Through the program, OP Jindal students can obtain both a five-year B.A./B.B.A./ B. Com. LL.B. (Hons) degree or the three-year LL.B. degree from JGLS and an LL.M. degree from USC in one year less time than would be required if the degrees were pursued sequentially. No credits from JGLS are transferred to USC under this program.

USC Marshall School of Business

Pathway Program for MS in Global Supply Chain Management – SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (Mumbai, India)

Established in 2022, this program invites students to apply to both the Global Management Programme (GMP) at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) and the Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management (MSGSCM) at USC. Admitted students begin their studies at SPJIMR, and earn a certificate after completing the GMP. Students are allowed to transfer a limited amount of credits from SPJIMR to USC to count toward their MSGSCM.

USC Viterbi School of Engineering

IPODIA

Using advanced technology developed at the Viterbi School, iPodia creates borderless experiential learning environments in which USC students and their global peers are learning together for a better world. Through interaction and collaboration, iPodia’s innovative “Learning through Diversity” pedagogy and “Classrooms without Borders” platform exponentialize the value of diversity as a learning resource to enhance the quality of education and to create a new fabric of knowledge based on contextual understanding, global perspectives, and leadership competency. The USC-led iPodia alliance currently includes 14 universities spanning 4 continents, include the following universities in India: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani – Goa, Hyderabad, India.

Training Programs in Aviation

In 2021, Boeing announced that it facilitated a Safety Management System (SMS) training program for India’s aviation stakeholders in partnership with Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. This is a first of a series of trainings that Boeing plans to organize for India’s aviation ecosystem towards continued learning of best practices.

Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru

Established in 2010 for general academic cooperation in fields related to science and technology, such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Renewed in 2018 and in 2024 (in progress).

PhD Student Exchange: One of the innovative aspects of this partnership is the collaborative PhD program between the two institutions, where a student gets PhD from one institution and spends significant amount of time at the other institution during the course of study, with faculty advisors at both institutions. Each year, up to 5 PhD students are exchanged.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

Established in 2011 for general academic cooperation and research collaboration. Renewing in 2024 (in progress).

In progress for 2024 – Agreement for the NAE Grand Challenges Scholars Program. Two (2) undergraduate students selected by each institution team up to work jointly on a project supervised jointly by a USC Viterbi faculty member and IIT Bombay faculty member.

Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad

Established in 2011 for general academic cooperation and research collaboration. Renewing in 2024 (in progress).

In progress for 2024 – Collaboration Agreement for a for-credit course jointly taught by USC and IIT Hyderabad on a mutually agreed upon engineering topic. Students will be organized into teams with peers at the partner institution and work on projects together.

USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Overseas Studies – Carleton College – Buddhist Studies in Bodh Gaya, India

In this study abroad program offered by Carleton College, students explore Buddhism in India through interdisciplinary courses and Buddhist meditation traditions and have a unique opportunity to conduct rigorous independent research in the field. Through comparative study, the program examines each of the three major Buddhist traditions and their historical development: Therevada, Mahayana and Vajrayana.

USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance

DANC 187: Bollywood Dance (2.0 units)

An introduction to basic and intermediate Bollywood Dance, including technique, movement, musical rhythm, phrases, and choreography. Inspired by the high energy music from Indian films, Bollywood is a fusion form that combines traditional Indian folk and classical dances with Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, and Middle-eastern dance.

Bollywood class brings the sounds and moves of India to USC Kaufman, September 2016.

Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC – Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy

Chan Division Student Exchange Programs

Designed to develop students’ international leadership abilities and provide them with a more global understanding of occupational therapy, health and wellness, and occupational justice. As part of the OT540 Leadership Capstone class, students will be hosted for 2 weeks in countries around the world, will learn about occupational therapy in each respective country, and will share their perspectives gained from their education at USC. Current exchange partnerships in India include: Center for Autism and other Disabilities Rehabilitation Research and Education (Kerala, India).

USC Viterbi School of Engineering

IUSSTF-Viterbi Program (2011 ~ present)

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) have partnered to launch the Viterbi-India Program. This program will provide opportunities to Indian students to undertake a research internship at the Viterbi School of Engineering in summer for a period of 8 weeks. Eligible for Indian students currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a recognized institution of higher education in India. Open to students of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences only. Scholarship includes stipend & airfare.
